Milan have intimated an interest in Ricardo Centurion, while they have dismissed links with Cagliari’s Davide Astori.
Centurion is a 20-year-old Argentine midfielder of Racing Avellaneda who is also being watched by the likes of Benfica, Napoli and Inter.
“Centurion? The Milan of the future will be young, so let us see what happens,” Vice-President Adriano Galliani noted on Tuesday.
Milan have also been paired with a new centre-back, but Galliani insists that Italian international Astori won’t arrive.
“Cagliari will not sell Astori,” he declared after also confirming that Milan have failed in a bid for Catania midfielder Francesco Lodi.
Galliani was also inevitably asked about Mario Balotelli after Silvio Berlusconi’s latest statements concerning the Manchester City man.
“The President is right, we have never spoken about signing Mario,” he declared. “And I don’t think he is for sale.”
