Milan chief Adriano Galliani assures David Beckham was “just a suggestion,” while Kaka is “impossible” due to his wages and Ignazio Abate will stay.

The Rossoneri have been linked to numerous names during the January transfer window after selling Alexandre Pato to Corinthians.

“Kaka is impossible, as his wages are the problem,” Vice-President Galliani told Sky Sport Italia this evening.

“David Beckham is a suggestion. However, I’d say it is 99.9 per cent unlikely to happen.”

Robinho had been in negotiations with Santos, while Abate is wanted by Luciano Spalletti’s Zenit.

“Robinho is absolutely confirmed to stay. We will not sell Abate, so Davide Santon will not arrive.

“We have received other offers for our players, but the sensation is that the squad will remain exactly as it is.”

Milan are buying for the future, as they have already agreed a co-ownership deal with Parma for Empoli’s Under-21 international Riccardo Saponara.

There have also been reports of talks for Bari talent Nicola Bellomo.

“Bellomo? We are stopping at Saponara.”

Galliani was also asked about the news that Pep Guardiola will take over at Bayern Munich next season, rejecting interest from the likes of Milan, Inter, Roma, Chelsea and Manchester City.

“German football represents the economic strength of Germany. I expected this move.”
