Vincenzo Montella cursed Fiorentina’s luck and their finishing after the Coppa Italia exit to Roma.
The Tuscans hit the woodwork three times, but lost 1-0 after extra time in tonight’s quarter-final.
“Did we have bad luck? Do you think?” said the Coach with a sarcastic laugh.
“We played a great game against a quality side that defended with nine men, as they were packed with midfield players.
“We created a great deal, but were unlucky and also need different characteristics in the final third.”
The game ended with an ugly brawl, as Juan Cuadrado and Dodo were sent off for a scuffle, then the situation deteriorated on the way to the tunnel and other players had to join in to calm them down.
“From what I can tell it was a misunderstanding, as a steward slipped and the players thought he had been pushed over.”
