Maurizio Beretta has been confirmed as the President of the Lega Calcio Serie A after another voting session on Friday.
Following numerous attempts to elect a President failed, Beretta was surprisingly re-elected on Friday afternoon.
Beretta got the 14 votes necessary to win – even without the support of Juventus, Roma and Inter.
Milan official Adriano Galliani will be the Lega’s Vice-President, while Lazio’s Claudio Lotito and Catania’s Antonino Pulvirenti will act as federal councillors.
