Ruben Olivera has left Fiorentina and rejoined Genoa on-loan until the end of the season.
The Uruguayan midfielder signed for the Viola last summer from Lecce, but has failed to establish himself in Vincenzo Montella's side.
And as such, has been allowed to leave the club for the remainder of the campaign, rejoining the north-west side, who he played for briefly in the 2008-09 season.
A statement on Fiorentina's official website read: “ACF Fiorentina can announce that Ruben Olivera has joined Genoa CFC on-loan until the end of the season.
“Genoa CFC will then have the option to buy Ruben Olivera outright.”
