There are reports that Galatasaray have set an ultimatum of Tuesday January 22 for Wesley Sneijder to give them a definitive answer.

The Turkish side has had an agreement worth €7.5m with Inter for some time, but the Dutchman is still dragging his heels over a final decision.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Galatasaray have run out of patience and set a new ultimatum.

If they do not receive a clear yes or no answer by Tuesday, they will walk away from the negotiations.

There are conflicting reports over what is causing the delay, as some claim Sneijder wants higher wages from Galatasaray, others that he is hoping a Premier League club like Liverpool can come in and Turkish media suggest he wants a €2m golden handshake from Inter.

Coach Fatih Terim expressed his frustration with a rant on Friday night, warning they did not want anyone “who thinks they are more important than Galatasaray.”
