Reports in Italy are suggesting that Chelsea will consider making an offer for Zenit St Petersburg boss Luciano Spalletti in the summer.
Having missed out on Pep Guardiola after he agreed to join Bayern Munich, the London club could now move for the Italian.
Spalletti, formerly of Udinese and Roma, has been in Russia since December 2009 and is contracted until 2015.
The 53-year-old was considered by Roman Abramovich’s club before they appointed Carlo Ancelotti in the summer of 2009.
Chelsea are currently bossed by former Inter tactician Rafael Benitez following the dismissal of Roberto Di Matteo in November.
