Marchetti set to face Holland

Federico Marchetti’s stunning form with Lazio will reportedly see him return to international duty for Italy’s game with Holland next month.

The shot-stopper has not featured for Italy since the 2010 World Cup, when he was pushed into the limelight by a Gigi Buffon injury.

He has been consistently impressive this season and performed more remarkable saves in the Coppa Italia semi-final against Juventus last night.

It is reported that Marchetti has done enough to convince Coach Cesare Prandelli to give him a recall for the February 6 friendly against Holland.

Marchetti is aided by the fact Emiliano Viviano has been dropped to the bench at Fiorentina.
