Lazio have pulled out of the race to sign Didier Drogba, leaving Milan and Juventus. “He is not in our plans.”

The Biancocelesti had recently been included in the transfer stories surrounding the Ivory Coast international, who seems ready to leave Shanghai Shenhua.

“Drogba is not in our plans,” Lazio President Claudio Lotito told Radio 2 in Italy this afternoon.

It is reported that Juventus are prepared to offer Shanghai Shenhua cash to take him on loan for the rest of the season.

On the other hand, Milan would prefer for Drogba to terminate his contract with the Chinese club first so he could arrive on a free transfer.

Meanwhile, Inter director Marco Tronchetti Provera commented on the Drogba situation.

“Drogba is a champion, so if he doesn’t go to Milan then I won’t be upset…”
