Cristian Chivu insists that he’ll soon be back in action after limping out of Inter’s 2-2 draw with Torino on Sunday.

The Romanian gave his side the lead at San Siro with a free-kick, but was replaced around the half-hour mark after picking up a problem to his right foot – one which has been operated on twice.

“I took a knock in a spot that was already tender,” he told Inter Channel. “I tried to keep going, but it was impossible.

“However, I think I’ll only need a couple days to recover since it’s nothing serious.”

The 32-year-old was only making his fourth League appearance of the season after an injury-affected campaign.

“I’m doing fine. I’ve accepted this and I’ll go forward as soon as I can,” he added. “I’ll play as long as I’m able to, also because I refused to have another operation.”
