The Argentine striker is at his second loan spell in Serie A, having played for Genoa for six months in 2011, scoring two goals in just seven appearances.

“The negotiations for me to come here were very quick, as I wasn’t playing much at Wigan and it was an easy sell,” revealed Boselli in his presentation Press conference.

“Italian football suits me, much more than the English game does. It was a shame at Genoa as an injury kept me out for three weeks.”

Boselli joins Palermo who are in penultimate place and would be bottom if it weren’t for Siena’s six-point penalty.

“We are not in a good position and this team should not be fighting against relegation, but we can do well.

“I talked to Rodrigo Palacio about Coach Gian Piero Gasperini, as he told me fitness is key because you have to be quick and intelligent with his system.”
