Vladimir Petkovic prepared to face Genoa, laughed off links with Borussia Dortmund and insisted he is “very happy to be at Lazio.”
The Biancocelesti are in third place and through to the Coppa Italia Final, so rumours emerged that Borussia Dortmund were eager to poach him for next season.
“I am very happy to be at Lazio,” assured the Coach in today’s Press conference. “A few months ago I could not have imagined being at this level so quickly.
“I am and will be concentrated, giving my all for Lazio. I am not thinking about a contract renewal because I am perfectly happy with the one I have now. There is no need to rock the boat.”
Lazio were stunned by Chievo in their last Serie A outing and on Sunday visit a revived Genoa under Davide Ballardini.
“At this moment, we can only improve. The victory over Juventus in the Coppa Italia gave us the belief to get a result against any of the top clubs.
“It is always difficult to confirm your status, so it will take great character against Genoa. It will be a tough and important game, as Genoa need points. The next few weeks will be crucial.”
