Agent Mino Raiola reveals Mario Balotelli “has never been so happy” after joining Milan and that Zlatan Ibrahimovic “wants a return to Italy.”

The representative was instrumental in bringing Balotelli to San Siro from Manchester City for €20m plus bonuses.

“Mario is happy to be at Milan. I’ve never seen him so happy in his career and I think he can bring Italy back to the front of European football,” Raiola told Calcissimo.com.

“We were not surprised by the joyful crowds who greeted him, as Mario is much loved… It’s not true that he left Manchester due to a row with Roberto Mancini. As Sir Alex Ferguson said, these things happen inside a squad.”

Raiola also represents PSG star Ibrahimovic, who was sold by Milan this summer in a double deal with Thiago Silva.

Earlier this week, the agent had already hinted that the Swede could make a comeback to one of his former clubs, Juventus, Inter or Milan.

“In life anything can happen and his return to Italy is possible. Italy is his home, as he played here for many years, becoming an extraordinary champion loved by all.

“Let us not forget he also has an Italian agent who taught him to love this country… Italian blood also runs through his veins by now.”
