Gremio President Fabio Koff has admitted that the Brazilian club are keen to sign Roma midfielder Marquinho.
The 26-year-old has been a perennial substitute for the Giallorossi this season since his summer arrival from Fluminense.
And the Porto Allegre side's chief has insisted that they will do all they can to lure the playmaker back to his homeland.
“We will not give up on getting Marquinho,” he told Radio Bandeirantes. “There have been some problems with Roma's valuation.
“But we have made a proposal to the player, and we hope that he agrees to come, because the market in Brazil is still open.”
