Lazio midfielder Cristian Brocchi has successfully undergone an operation on a metatarsal bone in his right foot.
The 37-year-old has played eight League games for the Biancocelesti this season, but could be out until the end of the campaign after he went under the knife yesterday.
A statement on the club's official website read: “On Wednesday evening Cristian Brocchi was operated on by Dr. Lovati, after the fracture of his third toe in his right foot.
“The player was discharged this morning and will next week have a scan to see if the operation was a success.”
