The agent of Giuseppe Rossi is hopeful that the new Fiorentina player will be back in action during the month of April.
The Italian international signed for the Tuscan club in January after a deal was done with Spanish Second Division outfit Villarreal.
However, Rossi hasn’t played a competitive game since October 2011 because of a recurring knee ligament injury which has required two operations.
“He was examined again at the end of January and his knee was judged to be very stable,” Federico Pastorello told La Politica nel Pallone.
“The work that he is doing in New York is bearing fruit.
“At the end of this month we can hopefully plan his return to Florence and then see him back in action during April.”
