Napoli have made no contact with Internacional regarding a bid for Leandro Damiao, the Brazilian club insist.
The international striker is being suggested as a possible replacement for Edinson Cavani if the latter leaves the Stadio San Paolo in the summer.
“No official offer from Napoli has been made to us,” President Giovanni Luigi told calciomercato.it in an interview. “We’ve only had informal conversations with Italian clubs.”
Luigi added that his outfit had rejected a January offer from Tottenham for the 23-year-old centre-forward.
Juventus have also been paired in the past with the South American.
