Italy drop in FIFA rankings

Cesare Prandelli’s Italy are now ranked as the fifth strongest nation in world football after the latest FIFA rankings were revealed.

The Azzurri have dropped one place after the recent 1-1 draw with Holland. They’ve been overtaken in the standings by England.

Spain still lead the way ahead of Germany and Argentina.

World Cup 2014 hosts and five-time world champions Brazil remain 18th – their lowest ever position since records began.

Top 10: 1. (1) Spain; 2. (2) Germany; 3. (3) Argentina; 4. (6) England; 5. (4) Italy; 6=. (5) Colombia; 6=. (7) Portugal; 8. (8) Netherlands; 9. (10) Croatia; 10. (9) Russia.
