Malaga Coach Manuel Pellegrini “had an offer from Roma, but we declined it outright” just two weeks ago, revealed his agent.

The Giallorossi sacked Zdenek Zeman on February 2 and promoted Aurelio Andreazzoli from the staff as head Coach.

“Less than 15 days ago we had an offer from Roma, but we declined outright,” agent Jesus Martinez told El Mercurio.

“We said no because we are midway through the season. Chelsea and other clubs have asked, but nothing else official has been said. Manuel would love to manage in the Premier League, but he'd also like to go to Germany, Italy and other championships.

“There is plenty of time to analyse where he will be next season.”

Among others, Pellegrini has also been linked with the Inter and Milan jobs.

“Manuel has a contract with Malaga until 2015. I think in April or May it will become clear what the future holds for him.

“Our first intention is to respect the commitment we have made to Malaga, but there are certain conditions to that.”
