The Nerazzurri must do without striker Milito for at least six months after he damaged the anterior cruciate ligament, the collateral ligament and the capsule in his knee during a 2-0 win over Cluj.
“We spoke after the game. We are all with him and await his return with open arms,” said Stramaccioni in his Press conference.
“I cannot see an Inter without Milito next season. Our objectives will not change, as we simply all have to give something more. We need those who haven’t played much lately, such as Tommaso Rocchi and Ricky Alvarez.
“It’s only right that the club continues to monitor the situation of out of contract players, but so far no name has been suggested to me. A one-striker system with two supporting players is possible.”
Inter travel to Florence on Sunday evening for a head-to-head clash to qualify for Europe.
“The Stadio Franchi is one of the toughest arenas in Serie A, as the big teams all struggled here. It is a direct confrontation for Europe and will be very difficult.
“We are facing a team that has the right mix between form and determination. They will certainly be hungry for success after the defeat to Juventus and sharper physically, seeing as they didn’t play during the week.
“Compared to the last time we met at San Siro, they will be able to count on Alberto Aquilani and Luca Toni.
