Former Inter director Gabriele Oriali has questioned the club’s decision to not sign Andrea Poli in the summer.
The Italian midfielder, 23, spent last season on loan with the Nerazzurri, but returned to Sampdoria when the Milan giants didn’t take up their option to sign him outright.
“I would have kept Poli if I was Inter,” the 1982 World Cup winner commented.
“He’s a young player who has important qualities. He would certainly have been functional in the rejuvenation of the club’s midfield.”
The Azzurri international, who has two goals in 19 League games this term, is understood to be a summer transfer target for Juventus.
