Former Lazio forward Paolo Di Canio has resigned as manager of English club Swindon Town.
The Italian tactician had threatened to leave his post last week after recent off-field problems at the County Ground.
But the 44-year-old has this evening handed in his resignation as the third-tier team have failed to find a new investor.
After coming through the Biancocelesti's youth team, Di Canio had brief spells at Juventus, Milan and Napoli before a successful playing career in Scotland and England.
