Philippe Mexes will be a key man for Milan in tonight’s Champions League game against Barcelona, says Paolo Rossi.
The 1982 World Cup winner believes that the centre-back, who will be playing alongside Cristian Zapata, needs to be at his very best.
“Mexes is someone with notable qualities, he’s a very talented player,” the former striker told Sky Sport Italia.
“In terms of quality, if he was a bit more consistent in his performances, then there would be few players like him around.
“The problem is that he sometimes gets lost – and he can’t afford to do that in the game against Barcelona.”
The French international, 30, has appeared in four Champions League games for the Diavolo so far this term.
