The agreement was confirmed on Thursday evening with a statement on the club website, as there are reports he’s ready to plough €100m into the side, particularly for the construction of their own stadium.
“Roma are a symbol for Italy,” he told Adnkronos news agency. “We are still in the middle of negotiations and these are particularly intense days.
“I really like the team and am passionate about football and the Giallorossi. My passion for Roma certainly pushed me towards making this step.
“The first thing one things about when mentioning Italy is Roma.”
Adnan Qaddumi has links with the Saudi Arabian and Jordanian royal families, has lived in Italy for over 20 years and has two oil companies.
He was spotted in the stands of the Stadio Olimpico during Roma’s 1-0 victory over Juventus.
