Dejan Stankovic explains the magic behind the “uncertain” Milan Derby and considers what Mario Balotelli could achieve.
The midfielder is likely to be on the bench for Inter tomorrow evening, click here for a match preview.
“The Derby is wonderful because it is so uncertain,” he told Sky Sport Italia.
“You never know who is going to win, especially at this moment when the two teams are in such different levels of form. This is the right game for us to turn the tide.”
All eyes will be on Balotelli, who faces his former Inter teammates for the first time since leaving in 2010.
“He can improve a great deal, but he probably doesn’t realise quite how much better he could be. More than just Balotelli, I fear all of Milan at this moment of great enthusiasm.”
Stankovic was out of action for nine months following surgery on his Achilles tendon.
“I did think about retiring, but with help from everyone I was able to return.”
