Catania owner Antonio Pulvirenti has admitted that the club have an obligation to fight for a European place.
The Elefanti are currently seventh in Serie A and only two points off of Inter in fifth position.
And the Sicilian side's President has claimed that it has been a superb campaign, but that they have to keep working if they are to achieve their ultimate goal.
“Things are going well at the moment,” he told Sky Sport Italia. “But the important thing for us is to keep working hard as a group.
“Europe is for us is an absolute novelty – we are normally used to other scenarios.
“However, look where we are in the table and it says that we deserve to be there. We have an obligation to try our best for the fans.
“Just to even be in the fight is an honour”
