Sampdoria have insisted that they may not necessarily sell young striker Mauro Icardi at the end of the season.
The Argentine is being heavily linked with a move to Inter, while Napoli are also known to be admirers of the former Barcelona player.
“His departure is not certain,” Doria sporting director Carlo Osti told Sky Sport Italia. “There is no agreement with any other club.
“Let us also remember that he has a contract here with us that will not expire until June 2015,” the official continued.
“At this moment in time, we’d like the player to just concentrate on his game seeing as we need his goals and his touches.”
Icardi, now 20, has scored eight goals in 20 League games for the Stadio Ferraris outfit.
