There are reports Antonio Cassano will receive a heavy fine and stall contract talks after he was dropped by Inter for a blazing row with Andrea Stramaccioni.
The striker was frozen out for Sunday’s trip to Catania following a heated argument in the locker room, which newspapers claim got physical.
It is suggested Dejan Stankovic and Team Manager Ivan Cordoba had to drag the men apart, but Coach Stramaccioni insisted in a Press conference that it was “a discussion.”
Cassano has been dropped for tomorrow’s important Serie A game, but the tactician confirmed he will be back in the side for next week’s Europa League match with Tottenham.
According to the latest rumours in the Italian media, Cassano will have to pay a heavy fine for his behaviour.
It is also possible this incident will stall contract renegotiations with Inter.
This is the latest in a long line of bust-ups for Cassano, who also had huge rows with Fabio Capello at Real Madrid, Gigi Del Neri at Roma, Sampdoria President Riccardo Garrone and Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani.
He was also repeatedly left out of the Italy squad by Marcello Lippi.
