Delio Rossi says he doesn’t want to discuss a new contract with Sampdoria until the club have enough points on the board to stay in the top flight.
The tactician replaced Ciro Ferrara in December, transforming the port club’s fortunes in the progress.
In his 10 games in charge so far, Doria have won five and drawn three. They are now tenth in the standings.
“Talk of a renewal is pleasing,” he told the Gazzetta dello Sport on Wednesday morning. “There is an agreement to discuss my future with the club before May.
“However, I firstly want to be sure that we’ll be playing football in Serie A next season.”
