Former Inter midfielder and summer Juventus transfer target Andrea Poli has revealed he was a Milan fan as a boy.
“I supported the Rossoneri when I was a kid,” the Sampdoria youngster told Tuttosport in an interview on Thursday.
“I’ll be supporting them again in the Champions League next week. They were extraordinary in the first leg against Barcelona.
“I hope they qualify for the people that I know at the club, for Milan and for Italy.”
The 23-year-old Poli returned to Samp in the summer after Inter opted against taking up their option to sign him outright following his loan stint last season.
“The problem was that I was injured when I moved there and I was sidelined for two months,” he continued.
“It was still a positive experience though – even if I wasn’t kept. And I’m not bitter about it. I’m happy to be back in Genoa, even if I really didn’t know what would happen during the summer.”
