Manchester City could make a move for Sampdoria striker Mauro Icardi, according to reports in the British Press.
The Daily Express believe that Roberto Mancini's side are tracking the progress of the 20-year-old and would be willing to match the €15m asking price set by the Bluerchiati.
Doria sporting director Carlo Osti confirmed yesterday that the Argentine forward will not renew his contract at the club, which has alerted the interest of the Premier League side.
They will have to fight off the advances of Inter however, who have been favourites to sign Icardi since January.
