Federico Macheda has admitted that he’s tempted by the idea of one day returning to Lazio.
Macheda, the Manchester United owned-striker, faced the Biancocelesti in the Europa League last night following his loan move to Stuttgart.
“I left Lazio when I was very young,” the 21-year-old, born in Rome, commented. “I’d like to go back there one day.”
The Italian Under-21 international began his career in the capital club’s youth team, before he was snatched by United at the age of 16.
Macheda spent six months on loan at Sampdoria in the 2010-11 season, but he grabbed just one goal for the Marassi outfit who were actually relegated from Serie A in May 2011.
