Vladimir Petkovic has admitted that it will be tough for his Lazio team as they play behind closed doors against Stuttgart on Thursday.

The capital club host the German side at Stadio Olimpico in the Europa League this week, but they will do so without any supporters after UEFA banned the Biancocelesti fans for two home games.

And despite going into the game with a 2-0 lead, the Coach has conceded that it will still be difficult for his men without any atmosphere.

“It's a shame for us, but also fans the fans who can't follow their team,” he told Lazio Style Radio.

“It is a new thing for me to try and imitate the atmosphere that the supporters bring.

“But we're playing to win – we are a competitive team and do not want to gift them any goals.

“We will fight to the end.”
