Reserve goalkeeper Cristiano Lupatelli has signed a new contract with Serie A side Fiorentina.
The 34-year-old was netted by the Viola for the second time in his career during the summer after leaving Genoa.
Despite not making a single appearance for the Tuscans this term, the third-choice custodian has been handed a new deal.
The former Chievo Verona man has put pen to paper until June 2014, with the option for another 12 months after that.
“He’s a great guy,” said sporting director Daniele Prade. “He is the first to show up for training and the last to leave.”
