Genoa goalkeeper Sebastien Frey is out of Sunday’s match against his former club Fiorentina after picking up an injury.
The shot-stopper interrupted today’s training session and tests showed a lesion to the left thigh muscle.
Frey will be out of action for at least a week, though could potentially be ready for the next Serie A game against Siena on March 30.
It is a particular blow for Frey, who wore the Viola jersey from 2005 to 2011.
