Fiorentina have assured “we will soon reach an agreement” to extend Adem Ljajic’s current contract.
The young striker had thought his Viola career was at an end when he got into a touchline brawl with Coach Delio Rossi, but has now won over the fans with six goals and three assists this season.
“We are preparing a great team for next season and getting ready now because the transfer market has to be planned out,” declared general manager Sandro Mencucci.
“Our objective is to strengthen the squad, not to change it. We have an excellent rapport with Ljajic’s agent and there are no problems on the horizon. We will soon reach an agreement that satisfies both parties.”
The Tuscans have already signed Giuseppe Rossi, who hopes to regain full fitness next season after two knee operations.
