Inter President Massimo Moratti admits he still talks to Jose Mourinho and is pleased by his “loyalty,” but warns “there aren’t the right conditions for a return.”

This week Real Madrid manager Mourinho fuelled speculation of a Nerazzurri comeback by declaring he could return to one of his former clubs.

Italian media and fans saw this as a move towards Inter, whereas the English papers read it as opening the door to Chelsea.

“I exchanged some courtesy text messages with Mourinho,” Moratti told journalists ahead of tonight’s Board of Directors meeting.

“Of course his loyalty and love for Inter are pleasing. There aren’t the right conditions for a return to Inter and I haven’t discussed an eventual project with him.”

The President was asked whether current Coach Andrea Stramaccioni would remain and he left the door open.

“I think so, yes. We knew it would be a tough year, but I want to confirm him and he is picking up valuable experience for the future.”

Former Inter striker Mario Balotelli is performing very well for arch rivals Milan.

“I still have great respect for the player. We knew that we wouldn’t bring him back once he went to Manchester City, but I note he is maturing a great deal and I’m happy about that.”
