English papers claim Milan are interested in a summer offer for Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic, but Italian media are sceptical.
The Metro reported today that the Rossoneri were planning a swoop for the Serbian international centre-back.
Vidic will be out of contract with United at the end of next season, so it is the last chance to raise some funds from his sale.
However, Milan are focused on bringing down the average age of the squad and that includes in defence, where they already have veterans like Philippe Mexes and Mario Yepes.
Italian websites suggest there is no truth in this story and that Milan have not even approached Manchester United for Vidic.
