Juventus’ Gigi Buffon remains a better goalkeeper than Inter rival Samir Handanovic, says Stefano Tacconi.
Handanovic has had a splendid campaign with the Nerazzurri following his summer move from Udinese, but the former Juve and Italy custodian insists he’s not the true No 1.
“Buffon is still better,” Tacconi told TMW. “I’m certain of that fact, even if Handanovic is doing really well.
“The difference between the two is down to the experience with which they play the game. There is no comparison in that area.
“Technically speaking they are different types of goalkeepers.”
The two men will come face-to-face on Saturday afternoon when Inter entertain the Old Lady in Serie A.
“I hope it goes well for Juventus,” Tacconi continued. “But Inter are looking to save a peculiar season. We’ll see which side has the character to take home the points.”
