Catania defender Pablo Alvarez has admitted that the club are aiming to finish in the Europa League places come the end of the season.
The Elefanti are currently eighth in Serie A with 45 points and face seventh place Lazio this Saturday at Stadio Olimpico.
And the Argentine full-back has insisted that his team will endeavour to leap-frog a tough Biancocelesti side with three points.
“Fifty points was our aim,” he told a Press conference. “But we really want to reach the Europa League places.
“We have had a very good season, but now we must focus on an important challenge against Lazio.
“Every League match from now on is like a final. We must not look at what others are doing – instead we have to concentrate on ourselves.
“Lazio are a great team. We will have to be careful.”
