Sampdoria striker Maxi Lopez has admitted that playing Atalanta holds bad memories for him, as the two prepare to face each other this weekend.
The Bluerchiati travel to Bergamo tomorrow looking for the three points that could take them 13 points clear of the relegation places.
But the Argentine striker has reflected on his recent knee injury – which happened earlier this season against La Dea.
“My accident happened on November 4 [against Atalanta],” he told Il Secolo XIX. “I was thinking about it the other day.
“It was certainly not a good memory for me, but it is water under the bridge now.
“Now I am focused on getting back to 100 per cent fitness and helping the team.
“At Bergamo we expect a decisive match where we can possibly achieve our goal – salvation.”
