Former Sampdoria sporting director Pasquale Sensibile expects the port club to make a summer bid for Josip Ilicic.
The Slovenian international is set to move on at the end of the season if Palermo are relegated and Doria have been paired.
“Sampdoria director general Rinaldo Sagramola wanted to bring Ilicic to Genoa last summer,” Sensibile, who left the outfit in December, revealed.
“As a result, I would not be surprised if the Slovenian did join the Blucerchiati during the next transfer session.”
The 25-year-old was netted by the Rosanero in 2010 from Maribor and scored in yesterday’s 2-0 win over Roma.
