'Juve not typically Italian'

Bayern Munich midfielder Javi Martinez believes that Juventus are not a 'typically Italian team'.

The Bundesliga leaders are 2-0 up from the first leg their Champions League quarter-final.

But the Spain international has praised the Bianconeri's style, whilst also revealing his admiration for Andrea Pirlo.

“Juventus have proven that they are not a typical Italian team,” he told Abendzeitung.

“They are not limited only to defence. They play good football all the way from the back.

“I think we won [on Tuesday] because tactically we were a lot better.

“I have followed Pirlo's career closely for many years. He is an incredible player.

“I always try to learn something from him.”
