Francesco Guidolin is glad to meet with “my dear friend” Chievo Coach Eugenio Corini again at the Stadio Friuli.
This afternoon Udinese welcome Chievo at 14.00 UK time (13.00 GMT), click here for a match preview.
“Chievo are a team who know how to play good football and are very organised. They are trained by my dear friend and before Corini they had Mimmo Di Carlo, another man I hold in my heart,” said Guidolin.
Corini was the captain of Guidolin’s Palermo side, but started his coaching career this season.
“We had great years in Sicily and I think all the best of him. I am glad he is in Serie A and trust he’ll be there for a long time, as he is a great man who deserves it. He and Di Carlo were heroes of my teams.
“It is going to be a tough and very physical match that won’t be easy for us. Giampiero Pinzi is not fit to feature yet.
“For two years we fought for the Champions League places, but now we have to play under less pressure. I am glad to see we are keeping the tempo up.”
Udinese squad for Chievo: Brkic, Padelli, Pawlowski; Angella, Basta, Benatia, Danilo, Domizzi, Heurtaux, Gabriel Silva, Pasquale; Allan, Badu, Campos Toro, Faraoni, Lazzari, Merkel, Pereyra, Rodriguez; Di Natale, Maicosuel, Muriel, Ranegie, Zielinski
