Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini has conceded that he was wrong to sack Giuseppe Sannino earlier in the season.
The 55-year-old was replaced by Gian Piero Gasperini after just three games of the campaign, before being re-hired by the Rosanero in March.
And after two consecutive wins against Roma and Sampdoria, the club chief has admitted that it was a bad decision to let the Coach go.
“I was wrong to send Sannino away,” he told Radio Kiss Kiss. “And in life, when you make a mistake, you have to admit it.
“I apologise. Sannino will remain with us even if we are relegated.”
Palermo currently sit in 18th place, level on points with Siena in 17th.
