'Genoa performance almost perfect'

Napoli attacker Marek Hamsik has revealed that the team are delighted to have increased their lead over Milan.

The Partenopei opened up a four point gap between themselves and their Rossoneri rivals after a 2-0 win over Genoa on Sunday.

And the Slovakia international has conceded that it was vital they won yesterday evening.

“We are relieved to have increased the distance to Milan,” he told the club's official website.

“Our goal was to win and I am pleased that we were able to do so.

“We played an almost perfect game.”
