Coach Walter Mazzarri will put pen to paper on a new contract with Napoli, Tuttosport are suggesting on Tuesday.
The tactician’s future has been placed into doubt given that he hinted that he could take a year off once his present deal expires in June.
However, the Turin-based daily is today claiming that Mazzarri will hold crunch talks with Azzurri chief Aurelio De Laurentiis, possibly as soon as next week.
The former Reggina and Sampdoria tactician will allegedly be handed a new two-year deal that will assure him €3.5m a campaign.
Napoli are currently second in Serie A, four points clear of Milan who they will face at San Siro this weekend.
