The Coppa Italia Final could be moved to avoid clashing with local elections, while authorities warn “the Rome Derby will not be an evening kick-off again.”

There were clashes before last night’s 1-1 draw with several arrests and minor stab wounds, although there was no trouble within the Stadio Olimpico itself.

“I have already written to the Lega Serie A to ensure the derby between Roma and Lazio” data-scaytid=”35″>Lazio must be played in the afternoon due to security concerns,” explained Rome Prefect Giuseppe Pecoraro.

“If they do not adjust their fixtures, then I retain the right to make that decision myself. It is no longer tolerable that at every Derby della Capitale there are incidents.”

Pecoraro also confirmed he could move the Coppa Italia Final, planned for the Stadio Olimpico on May 26.

“I reserve the right to decide on a change of the Coppa Italia Final date, above all because on May 26 there are local elections in Rome.”

There is a further concern, as Lazio are already in the Final and their opponents will be either Roma or Inter.
