Novara have won their appeal to have their points penalty in the betting scandal reduced to two points, putting them in fifth place.
This evening Novara’s lawyers succeeded in having the original four-point penalty reduced to just two points in the CONI TNAS Tribunal of Arbitration for Sport.
The €20,000 fine has also been wiped out, while they are waiting for another appeal against a one-point ban for late wages.
The court action lifts Novara up to fifth place on 53 points, overtaking Varese, as their overall points penalty is now three.
