There was no Press conference in the Sampdoria camp ahead of the game, but Gastaldello spoke to Sky Sport Italia.
“We are feeling the pressure, as this is a hugely important game for both teams,” confessed Gastaldello.
“We must not rest on our laurels, nor take anything for granted, as we still need a couple of points to be mathematically safe from relegation.”
Genoa, on the other hand, are in joint penultimate place and desperately need a win.
“Genoa are a side with many fine players and they know how to achieve safety. We must be wary of their hunger for victory, as we too are fighting for safety and want to keep battling for every point.”
